The Department of Energy and Climate Change are providing a new fund which is available to communities in England and Wales who are playing an active role in the development of a low carbon society.

Money is available to finance projects that increase understanding and uptake of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and help to make energy supply secure and affordable for everyone in your community. Making an application for funding

To apply to the Local Energy Assessment Fund you will need to register on this site to get access to the online application form.

The deadlines for completion of your application are as follows:

Phase 1: Applications to be submitted online by 12 noon on 22^nd Dec 2011
Phase 2: Applications to be submitted online by 12 noon on 20^th Jan 2012
