The Energy Saving Trust housing programme has developed a new sizing wizard. This new and updated version can also be used for other heat generators (such as micro-CHP or heat pumps) together with a heating system design method. Its purpose is to give a realistic estimate of the heating demand for a whole dwelling so that the boiler or other heat generator can be sized correctly.
Alternatively, you can use our old sizing wizard.
Designed to help the construction industry achieve performance standards that exceed those set out in Part L1A of the Building Regulations, our new Enhanced Constructions Details help developers and builders to achieve the energy requirements in the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The Energy Credits Calculator has been developed to help familiarise housing professionals with the potential approaches and features necessary to achieve a range of energy credits within the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Revised in November 2008, this tool provides information so you can prioritise the range of refurbishment options available and develop an effective plan.
See at a glance what the components of an energy efficient house look like. Whether it's a new build or refurbishment project, this tool will help you identify the measures you can implement.
Envest for Housing helps the industry keep abreast of the impact of embodied CO2. By inputting basic design numbers - height of building, number of storeys, window area and so on, together with choice of materials, such as roof covering and external walls, developers can see the impact of each element.
